Project Manager:Gail Montgomery
The National Climate Change and Wildlife Science Center (NCCWSC) is a part of the U.S. Geological Survey’s Climate and Land Use Change Mission Area (CLU) and acts as the managing entity for the eight Department of the Interior (DOI) Climate Science Centers (CSCs). The NCCWSC requires a set of data management applications to help scientists keep track of the vast amount of data and deliverables they produce. This project calls for the development of a suite of web applications that support project life cycles from cradle to grave.
FORT will fully implement various data management applications with continued improvement of the applications by adding requested features and fine-tuning. The support of the project lifecycle entails the creation of a proposal in “RFPManager” (http://my.usgs.gov/rfpManager), forming and managing data management plans in “DMPEditor” (https://my.usgs.gov/dmpeditor), the ability to enter and manage project information in “DEPTH” (https://my.usgs.gov/depth), and subsequently displaying projects and publications on NCCWSC’s website (http://nccwsc.usgs.gov), as well as the collection of project information on vulnerability assessments from across North America using the Climate Registry on the Assessment of Vulnerability “CRAVe” (https://nccwsc.usgs.gov/crave/). These web applications will increase visibility of NCCWSC projects and products to the public.
