GSAnswers Administrative Interface is an USGS internal application that allows assigned USGS users to interact with the GSAnswers Perl Script to modify parameters such as blacklist users, add and edit bad-words filter, and train the spam filter. Users can view reports for each email address or dropbox that participates in the program to answer questions.
In addition webforms were developed that integrate with USGS FAQs, social media, and chat to facilitate discovery without sending in a question via email.
The GSAnswers Administrative Interface is designed in Drupal with the OMEGA theme and is a content management system. OMEGA allows the site to be adaptive at different screen sizes and is developed on the 960 grid.
The USGS National Geomagnetism Program is part of Natural Hazards Mission Area and is charged with real time monitoring the Earth's magnetic field from 14 ground based observatories. GeoMag WebDisplay is a cross platform web based monitor for monitoring the observatory's instrument readings on the data collection system at each observatory.
ShakeCast is an application which automates post-earthquake response for critical users. It has been designed to consume ShakeMaps and analyze an organization's facility inventory in order to provide an estimate of the impact of an event (earthquake) within minutes after it occurs. In addition to its operational role, it can be used in a research capacity for critical planning and training purposes.

The mission of the USGS's National Climate Change and Wildlife Science Center (NCCWSC) is to serve the scientific needs of managers of fish, wildlife, habitats, and ecosystems as they plan for a changing climate. DOI Climate Science Centers (CSCs) are management by NCCWSC and include this mission as a core responsibility, in line with the CSC mission to provide scientific support for climate-adaptation across a full range of natural and cultural resources.
