FORT Participates in Putnam Science Carnival
Tuesday, February 13, 2007
The Fort Collins Science Center was one of many exhibitors at the Putnam School for Science in Fort Collins, Colorado, February 3. This science-oriented elementary school stages a yearly Science Carnival for youngsters to learn about the many applications of science in their lives, and it provides the opportunity for public and private organizations to get kids excited about science in the real world. FORT staffed three displays on local research involving bats, mountain lions, and black-footed ferrets. They also conducted Biology Jeopardy, a game featuring questions (and answers) addressing the breadth of science conducted at FORT. The event focuses on K-6 students and their families, but all ages participate. This year, well over 800 people attended.
