The FORT Information Science Branch works with FORT and partner scientists to develop and support Web application tools and methods. These activities include general systems support for the FORT Web Applications infrastructure (hosting hardware, network, database, storage, and application servers) as well as application development work. Current projects include the following:
- Jonah Infill Data Management System – designed to help track Jonah Interagency Office operator compliance with regulatory requirements.
- National Invasive Species Council Performance Tracking – allows users to input and track accomplishments related to work funded by the Council.
- Species Habitat Relationship Information Management Program – built for U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service partners to tie on-the-ground species augmentation efforts to published references.
- Pinedale-Anticline Data Management System – to be developed in FY2010, this application will help the Pinedale Anticline Project Office track regulatory compliance.
