Research Task: 8327CMH.4.0
Task Manager: Michele Banowetz
FORT and USGS staff need technologies and tools to integrate, analyze, visualize, and apply earth or natural science information to natural resource issues. The rapid rate of technology advancement and increasingly complex security issues present major challenges to meeting this need. This task aims to help FORT and USGS work through these challenges by using state-of-the-art Web application tools and methods. Among other activities, FORT Information Science Branch staff are providing data and GIS support to the USGS Central Region Geospatial Information Office in support of data requirements for the Wyoming Landscape Conservation Initiative; capturing USGS climate change data in a secure environment; providing Web support to the USGS Rocky Mountain Area; and developing and serving several other decision support tools.
