NPR's "Morning Edition" Interviews USGS Invasive Species Expert

 

On September 18th, National Public Radio (NPR) interviewed USGS scientist, Thomas J. Stohlgren, for a story on fire ants and mealybugs. Stohlgren discussed the economic costs associated with invasive species in the U.S. ($137 billion per year) and the potential needs for science when developing biological control techniques to protect native species.
