USGS research ecologist Jill Baron will be speaking at the George Wright Society meeting April 16-17 in Minneapolis on the chapter she and her team are writing, Adaptations of National Parks to Climate Change, for the U.S. Climate Change Science Program. This chapter will serve as a preliminary report to Congress identifying current and potential activities in national parks that can be used to prepare for climate-related effects on natural resources. The CCSP integrates Federal research on climate and global change by producing synthesis and assessment reports that contribute to the overall understanding of both. Results so far have been provided to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change for its Fourth Assessment Report.
